The Mechanicville City School District is due to install several sets of new windows this week in an area of the high school that has poor air circulation and possibly harmful mold.
About $5,000 worth of new windows will be put in from the nurse's office near the middle school up to and including the principal's office, board president Jeff Brown said.
Work on the windows, which are being installed to prevent water infiltration, was due to start Monday. ``I think it's a big step in the right direction,'' Brown said. ``I know the old windows were definitely leaking. We're taking one step at a time. We'll see what happens once they are replaced.''
