SCHALMONT HIGH DEDICATION, HOMECOMING EVENTS SLATED.(Local)

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies to publicly dedicate the additions and renovations at Schalmont High School will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 8 in the high school auditorium as part of Schalmont's Homecoming Weekend.

According to school superintendent Alan Longshore, the public is invited to join members of the board of education and other community representatives for the dedication ceremonies.

An informal reception and tours of the facility will begin immediately following the ribbon-cutting.

The construction project was funded by a voter- approved bond issue of nearly $3.5 million in December 1986. Final cost of the project was $2,835,000.
